        Class Descriptions

        Adult Yoga Classes

Each class begins with breathing, continues with warm-up exercises and then includes holding several yoga poses with an emphasis on alignment and breath. Some vinyasas may be included - which are sequences of yoga poses linked with breath. The class concludes with a time of relaxation to offer a respite from your busy thoughts.

YMCA Classes are drop-in classes. They are free for YMCA members, or if you're not a member, you may either purchase a 10 day pass that will give you access to the entire facility for $50, or a 10 day fitness pass that will give you access to fitness classes for $30. The passes can be purchased at the front desk.

Orscheln Classes are for Orscheln employees. They are $40/ month. For more info, email Jill or Debbie Maples.

MACC Classes are held at Moberly Area Community College for credit, and are semester long classes. To register, go to Student Services (1st floor, Komar Hall) and complete an application for admission. Tuition and fees for someone who is a resident of Moberly will be about $100. Residents outside the City of Moberly will pay about $15 more.

New for the Summer: Summer Lunch Yoga

        Prayer and Yoga Classes

P&Y classes are similar in structure to a regular adult class. They include a prayer vinyasa that links a sequence of poses to a prayer or a scripture. For an example of a prayer vinyasa, check out the prayer vinyasas/ videos tab. I also include some Christian philosophy as it relates to the yoga practice.

Prayer and Yoga Classes are drop-in classes, so there's no sign-up necessary, just come and join us. These classes are donation-based.

New for the Summer: Prayer and Yoga in the Park

Kid's classes are geared for children and involve more imaginative play than adult classes. We dance with beanie babies on our heads for balance, bark in downdog, meow in cat pose, and much more! It's tons of fun!!

Kid's Yoga Classes are held in sessions. Contact Jill for upcoming class information.

New for the Summer: Kid's Yoga

One question: Can I do yoga?

If you can breathe and get up and down from the floor, you can do yoga! Check out one of our weekly classes and discover yoga for yourself. Or, if you'd like to try a class at home, go to the prayer vinyasas/ videos tab for a free full length class.
